Roll Call

I didn’t graduate high school with my class because I didn’t go to school when I was supposed to. I refused to show up.

In my addiction, I would not go anywhere I didn’t want to. It didn’t matter if I had promised to be somewhere, I wouldn’t go if I didn’t feel like going.

A few months before I got sober, I had a warrant issued for my arrest for a failure to appear in court.

Since then, I decided to start showing up when I said I would. When I started showing up, I met good people and found great opportunities. I have received blessings, opportunities, and rewards all from nothing more than showing up. When I saw how effective it was to be present, I began showing up with a great attitude and work ethic. Everything clicked.

Now, I show up to church, jobs, meetings, to work steps, to help people, and to do whatever else I said I would do. I show up to live life and get stuff done every single day.

So…Good morning. I see you. I love you and I am here to remind you that you had better SHOW UP TODAY!

Have a great week! 👊🏼
