How I present myself each day says a lot about me.
Do I give my appearance any attention?
Did I comb my hair, wash my face, take a shower, or wear appropriate clothing for the occasion? Did I brush my teeth??
Some people choose their clothes for the day based on what isn’t dirty or even what items are the least dirty haha
I have been poor and managed to look nice, neat, and even professional. When I started taking care of myself and giving effort to my appearance when I was still making very little money. I bought Walmart and resale and any department store clearance sale I could find. I wanted to feel good and look good, so I made the effort to do both.
Why should you care about your appearance?
It shows that you care.
People know that you devoted time to looking good for them, for you, and for the occasion.
It is a great way to practice self care.
I always feel better when I am dressed for the day. Even on a phone call. I become more confident when I know I could take a FaceTime meeting at any moment. I feel sharp.
Life is a gift and so is my body. I should treat it well and keep things looking as good as I can. I should show my gratitude through my own behavior.
Give yourself the attention you deserve! Be intentional about the way you show up!
Have a great Monday!
